Many of my readers know I am a full blown Fur Mommy! I have a beautiful rescue cat named Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear who came to us when she was listed on Facebook for free. She might not have some sort of horrible story behind how I rescued her but I fully believe if I didn’t adopt her she would of ended up in one of the many shelters in the area or worse! I was the only person who showed interest in her and she has actually been the best cat I have ever owned.

Howie & Friends all started with one simple mission in mind, to strengthen the bonds between pets and pet parents, products, like It’s A Cat’s Life, can not only improve the lives of companion animals everywhere, but also assist in eliminating the unnecessary “euthanasia” of healthy, adoptable shelter pets.

Here is some background information on Howie and Howie’s Mom.

Howie Bingham found and adopted his Mom when he was only five weeks old. At that time, he was an acutely thin kitten, with ribs and hindquarters showing, hosting ear mites and fleas, while brandishing a skinned nose. He grew into a beautiful, smart, caring, and affectionate kitty who was devoted to his Mom. Howie and The Mom grew to love and care for each other daily and faced every triumph and challenge in life hand in paw.
One day Grandma Fran sent a refrigerator magnet with Howie’s picture, encircled with the words, “World’s Greatest Kitty”. From that day forward, Mom believed that he truly was the World’s Greatest Kitty to her, for the world’s greatest power is love and Howie had an abundance of it.
Howie led a remarkable life. He traveled across the country twice with his Mom. He participated in the then largest peacetime evacuation in U.S. history during Hurricane Floyd. He survived being hit by a car on his birthday in front of the birthday guests and lived with a pacemaker for two years.
Howie has “written” this book with the hope that kitties and their pet parents everywhere will also find the love and closeness he shared with his Mom.

Howie’s Mom, L’Ann Bingham, became a devoted cat person through the love, affection and many life trials experienced with her dear kitty Howie. A top-level career sales and marketing professional, Ms. Bingham became quite concerned with the well-being of companion animals, especially in cases of owner surrenders to shelters, and the unnecessary euthanasia of 4-5 million cats and dogs annually in the United States.

The It’s a Cat’s Life is a wonderful book for all fur parents! It reminds me of a baby book but for your fur baby. It’s also loaded with tons of useful information and information about Howie. It also has folders for vet records, microchip information and contact information for groomers and pet-sitters, and more. The book discusses all the stages that cats go through from kittenhood through their senior years
