Rosie has a lot of food allergies, the most important ingredient she needs to avoid is poultry, I never knew how hard it was to avoid poultry until I had a dog with an allergy to it! I found that many popular brands of dog food contained poultry even if they were not actually poultry flavor! I then came across The Naked Dog and was really eager to give them a try!
The Naked Dog Box offers premium grain-free, gluten-free, and potato, corn and soy free dry dog food that is delivered to your door every two weeks. You can even formulate the food to meet your dog’s needs by answering a series of questions that take into account your dog’s age, activity level, and weight. Flavor combinations include Salmon & Chickpea, Turkey & Pea and Beef & Chickpea and Rosie had the chance to try their Salmon & Chickpea formula and I was really excited to see how she liked it.
I love that they included a stainless steel scoop! It makes measuring food out super easy and it doesn’t get nasty like the plastic scoops do, I followed the directions and fed Rosie one scoop in the morning and one scoop in the evening. It didn’t take long to switch her over to this formula and best of all she had no reaction at all! No hair loss(which is common for her when she is exposed to poultry products or food that contains cross contamination) and absolutely no diarrhea. I love the fact that the food is formulated to her personal needs and that it is much more affordable than past foods I’ve been feeding her.
All of The Naked Dog Box’s dry dog food is made in Calfornia and starts at $18 with free shipping.
