Iced Tea Made Fast and Easy with The Ninja Coffee Bar

Stephs Cheers and Jeers was provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review.

During the Summer months, we drink SO much iced tea that I was making huge quantities of it on the stove multiple times a week which was time-consuming. A friend of mine noticed I had a Ninja Coffee Bar and suggested I try and make iced tea using it since it has a brew over ice option and honestly I NEVER thought of it because honestly I only ever used it to brew coffee. I decided to give it a try and I seriously will never make iced tea on the stove ever again!

The Ninja Coffee Bar isn’t just a coffee maker! It allows you to brew classic brew like a regular coffee maker but also allows you to easily brew specialty brews including rich, over ice, cafe style, and specialty which creates a coffee concentrate which is perfect for layer drinks, frozen and coffeehouse style. It also has a built-in frother which is on a pivoting arm which allows you to easily store it out of the way when not in use. One thing I love about The Ninja Coffee Bar is the reusable filter and the fact that I can brew 6 different sizes ranging from a cup to a full pot. The including Ninja Smart Scoop(which has a storage spot on the side of the machine) allows me to also easily measure out the perfect amount of coffee each time.

So since I had never used the brew over ice option I decided to read the manual to make sure I was doing it correctly and the manual states to remove the brew through lid from the carafe and fill the carafe with ice.

It took some trial and error to get the correct ratio but I have decided that 6 tea bags is perfect for us. I leave them in the bag because it makes for super easy cleanup.

While the tea is brewing I make a simple syrup on the stove(1:1 ratio water to sugar), sometimes I also make a simple syrup using the hot water in my water bubbler but it doesn’t come out as good. You can also buy simple syrup already made, my favorite is made by Stirrings.

I leave it to do its thing and in less than 5 minutes I have perfect iced tea! (its even slightly chilled when its done). I found that this particular recipe makes more of an iced tea concentrate so I pour it into a large pitcher and add 1 carafe of water to the pitcher as well as the simple syrup.

I am hoping to explore some of the other specialty beverages The Ninja Coffee Bar allows you to make but for now, I’m very happy with its regular brewing feature as well as the Over Ice feature.

You can purchase The Ninja Coffee Bar System with Glass Carafe for $199.99
