Janod Story Box Circus

A few Citrus Lane boxes ago, my daughter got a couple of wooden girls and a wooden car for them to play with. She would put the girls in the back of cars or trains calling them “sisters” and she really liked them. When Janod agreed to allow me to review an item, it wasn’t until we received it did I realize this company made those toys! My daughter’s eyes just lit up when she saw this, and she has not stopped playing since!

IMG_4281Janod sent us the “Story Box Circus” (the link is above) and this has got to be an incredible toy for children. Each piece is bright, colorful, smooth edged (so no change of splinters), and they can work together and match to other parts! It comes with 20 parts, and a colorful box to put them in that can also be a back drop. (Pardon the ketchup bottle in the picture, she didn’t give me a lot of time to clean up, haha).

IMG_4283The cars have magnets, so she can pull them and make them go together in places. They also work on the Ikea train tracks we have so there’s a multi-function to this for her. She will sit there and make elephant sounds, lion sounds, make the little people interact, I was really delighted at how this pulled her imagination out and had her thinking more. The only negative I found was that on the box it shows that you can balance one of the girls on the round ball (what looks like a peppermint in the picture) but sadly all of the girls’ feet are so rounded they don’t stay on. She has tried many times and has become so frustrated but then moves onto something else.

This was a toy that I sincerely was surprised at how wonderful it was. I think this is great for kids of many ages, so at least an age 3-10 range. I don’t say under 3 because they can fit in the mouth and if they are turned horizontal could get stuck behind the teeth/gums so if you have a toddler who likes to put everything in their mouth still, I wouldn’t recommend this. But, this is a perfect Christmas/Birthday present!

Out of five stars, I give Janod:  1/2!!!
