Sitara Collections started in 2006 after a series of trips to India and after Linda Singh married her Indian born husband, Vinay Singh. Visiting India she met with artisans and small entrepreneurs who worked tirelessly to earn a living. In 2014 Linda left her corporate job and established Sitara Collections which empowers Indian artisans.

Did you know nearly 12 million artisans and micro-entrepreneurs in India’s villages make handcrafted products to earn and support their families? Their livelihoods are under constant threat.Sitara Collections® partners with extraordinary Indian artisans and community groups to bring their high quality, handcrafted products to a global audience. These skilled artisans specialize in handcrafted jewelry, textile weaving, and glass blowing, making products with contemporary allure. Products come from all over India– from the northern Himalayan mountains to the western deserts in Rajasthan to Vanarasi, or Banaras as it is commonly known, the spiritual center of India located on the banks of the Ganges river in Uttar Pradesh. Some of our products come from beyond India, including Guatemala and Peru.

I LOVE these earrings, they are so beautiful and sit well on my ears. I have super sensitive ears also and they did not make my ears swell or break out which is great! Its really hard for me to find beautiful decorative earrings that are affordable that don’t irritate my ears. One of the gems did fall off and sadly I didn’t notice so I lost it but I plan to find a similar gem and glue it on or remove the other gem.

I love the cause that Sitara Collections supports and these earrings are a great deal for the price.

They sell for $28.00
