I love using spices! I have a whole cabinet dedicated just to spices and I’m always on the hunt for exciting spices I haven’t used before. Spiced Up recently sent me one of their boxes to check out.

Spiced Up is a monthly subscription box  that delivers hand-selected spices with facts on origin, history, and how to use them, as well as a kitchen tested recipe. You can also purchase individual packages of spices on their website.

The box I received contained Vindaloo Curry Spice, Canadian Love Rub, Jalapeno Pepper Granules and Marjoram Leaves.

The Vindaloo Curry Spice originates from India, has a hot, powerful, warm and intense taste. It features Coriander Powder, Cumin, Red Pepper, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Cloves and Turmeric. It has some great uses including on Chicken, Beef, Pasta, Pork, Shrimp, Vegetables and more!

The Canadian Love Rub originates in Montreal and has peppery, salty and full flavored taste. It features Garlic, Black Pepper, Coriander, Chili, Salt, Corn Oil and Oleoresin of Paprika. Its great on Steaks, Hamburgers, Potatoes, Vegetables, Fish, Chicken and Beef.

The Jalapeno Pepper Granules originates in Mexico and has a traditional hot and spicy jalapeno flavor. Its great on Pizza, Chicken, Pasta, Sauce, Mexican Cuisines, Dips, Chili, Tacos, Burritos, Fajitas, Nachos, Salsa and Eggs.

The Marjoram Leaves is a Mediterranean spice with sweet, subtle, delicate and pleasant flavors. Its great in Meat Dishes, Meat Loaf, Liverwurst, Sausage, Chicken or Turkey Stuffing, Cheeses, Sauces or Soups.

The box also contained a recipe card for Pork Vindaloo that uses the Vindaloo Spice.

I was very pleased with the selection of spices I received, It was nice that there was a variety of spices and all of them smelled super high quality. For $20 a month I think Spiced Up is a KILLER deal because normally I spend $5-$10 per spice when I buy them. If you are a foodie or someone who loves spiced you will LOVE Spiced Up!
