Time Out For Whoopie Review and Giveaway

Stephs Cheers and Jeers was provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review.

I love vermont based companies, especially ones who offer things that just scream vermont, like maple flavored items. I personally love maple flavoring. So when Time Out For Whoopie and I teamed up for a review and giveaway I was more than excited!

Time Out For Whoopie is a home based bakery in Vermont. The owner entered a whoopie pie contest in 2010, they won a blue ribbon for their Pumpkin Whoopie pie. After entering the next years and bringing home awards, they discovered their love for baking, when the company they worked for closed, it motivated them to start Time Out For Whoopie.

Time Out For Whoopie offers the traditional whoopie pie but also offers a wide variety of flavors such as maple walnut and peanut butter. Only a few flavors can be shipped, those flavors are Traditional,Mint, Peanut Butter, Coconut,Irish Cream, and Maple Walnut.

I was sent a box of mini Maple Walnut whoopie pies and they are AMAZING!

First off the box it comes in is adorable! I love the traditional “bakery box”, reminds me when I was a kid and my mom use to get cookies and cakes from the local bakery.

The Ingredients are listed on the box. The Maple Walnut whoopie pies are made with Maple Syrup from Poor Farm Sugar Works in Colchester.
These Whoopie Pies are AMAZING! They are so cakey but yet they don’t fall apart when you are eating them. The filling is sweet but not to sweet and the taste of real maple syrup definitely pulls these together. Iv had other maple whoopie pies before and they always taste artificial. These have the real maple syrup taste to them! Almost reminds me of having a stack of pancakes with real maple syrup. The walnuts are in the cake batter which adds a nice texture.
