Back in July, I wrote a post about Miss Rosie and her intolerance testing results from Affordable Testing. We are teaming up with them again and this time Loki and I had testing done!
Affordable Testing offers some wonderful options that allow you to test for allergies and sensitive to items such as beauty products, they also offer a standard test which tests for over 300 food and enviormental l intolerances as well as 45 nutritional deficiencies. They also offer a metal test that tests for heavy metals so you can develop a plan or routine to reduce your exposure to these metals. I was really happy to see that while they offer tons of tests for humans they also offer an intolerance test for pets.
So I’m going to talk about Loki’s test results first. The pain-free collection process requires you to just clip hair close to the root and mail it in using the provided envelope and you will be emailed your results within 1-2 weeks. Loki didn’t seem to mind what so ever and I clipped hair from both the scruff of his neck and under his tail.

I raw feed both Rosie and Loki so the food intolerance results really help me figure out what proteins, fruits, and veggies. While Loki does not have extreme symptoms like Rosie does, he does suffer from dry skin which I hope will go away if I avoid foods listed on his intolerance list.
My results:
I was really excited to get my testing back. As many of you know I have inflammation issues and I’ve been wanting to do an elimination diet and I figured this would be a great way to get an idea of what foods to start with. I received 4 different reports because I received the deluxe package, the standard package includes 3 reports while the deluxe includes 4.

I was VERY happy with the results I received for both Loki and I. You can purchase a deluxe human package for $154.00 and a standard package for $122.00. They also offer individual packages if you want to test for a specific thing.
