Eartheasy is dedicated to making it easier for you to maintain a sustainable lifestyle. They have a great range of products that are designed to help create a toxic-free home, these products include low flow faucets, eco-friendly cookware, eco-friendly bedding, and even nontoxic pest control.
I am already familiar with Eartheasy because I reviewed their Scrubba Wash Bag during last years Holiday Gift Guide so I was really excited to see that they recently released a similar product that is designed especially for your delicates and hand wash only items.
The Allurette Washer is the sister product to the Scrubba Wash Bag and features a more subtle washboard which is actually heart shaped. Its perfect for cleaning your delicates including undergarments, silk, lace, lingerie, activewear, baby clothing and really any item that is hand wash only. The Allurette is slightly smaller than its sister product the Scrubba Bag and weighs just 112g, it makes hand washing SO much easier and is also great for those that travel often and the environmentally-conscious. It really does beat a dirty sink or bending over a bathtub!
It is made from microbial and hydrolysis resistant polyether TPU and folds down to pocket size so it takes up very little space(It fits into the tiny pocket on the front of my suitcase easily). The website suggests that you use a few drops of a specialized handwash or delicate liquid detergent and gently rub the clothes for 2-3 minutes, for stubborn stains you can soak soiled items in the Allurette(just ensure its kept upright) or gently rub for a little long. The website suggests that you can easily dry times after rinsing by gently squeezing the water out and lay the item on a clean towel and roll the towel up. I personally use a salad spinner to spin out the excess water and then just hang the items outside to dry.
I found that the Allurette Washer cleans SUPER effectively and is perfect for washing bras and other small items. I have yet to try and wash anything bigger than a bra in it but I would imagine it would work well.
The Allurette Washer sells for $44.95.
