Maple Butternut Squash Featuring The Maple Guild Maple Syrup

Stephs Cheers and Jeers was provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review.

I love butternut squash during the winter and one of my favorite ways to eat it is roasted with maple syrup. I recently came across  The Maple Guild Organic Vermont Maple Syrup and it’s easy for me to see why they won the “Best of East” Award at the Natural Products Association’s Expo East.

The Maple Guild has one of the largest sugar bushes in the world with hundreds of thousands of maple trees under their care. This sugar bush is located in Northern Vermont where the weather stays colder longer and elevation and latitude are key to producing better sap. The Maple Guild has over 1,800 miles of tap lines which carries sap directly to their own reverse-osmosis houses via gravity and pumps. Unlike other maple syrup makers, The Maple Guild uses a steam-based process which converts the sap at a lower temperature which gives it a lighter color and flavor.

I have lived in Vermont for over a decade and my husband has lived here all his life so we have both eaten our share of real Vermont maple syrup and I gotta say The Maple Guild is some of the best I’ve ever had! It’s super flavorful yet subtle which makes its great for using in recipes.

The Maple Guild has other great products such as Maple Vinegar, Maple Cream, Teas and more.

The syrup I received paired AMAZING with Butternut Squash!

I cut them in half, took out the seeds then rubbed them with butter and drizzled maple syrup over them. Popped them in the oven for an hour on 250 and then they were ready to serve. My family loves this recipe and it’s super easy to make!

Be sure to check out The Maple Guild because like I stated above its some of the best Vermont maple syrup I’ve ever tasted!
