Better Ingredients, Better Mixes with Miss Jones Baking Co.

Stephs Cheers and Jeers was provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review.

I love baking but I don’t always have the time or energy(Thanks, Chronic Pain!) to make everything from scratch. I heard of Miss Jones Baking Co. through a fellow blogger and was really excited to try their mixes.

Miss Jones Baking Co. has a great line of ready-to-use frosting and baking mixes that are marketed as tasting like scratch in less time. Their frostings are vegan and gluten free and all their products are certified organic, soy free, dairy free, contains hydrogenated oils, trans fats, artificial flavors or colors and are made in the US. All of their products and most of their recipes can be prepared conventionally or fully vegan. Their mixes are SO versatile and they have many popular mixes available including white and chocolate cake, brownies and cookies

I had a chance to try their Vanilla Cake Mix and Chocolate Frosting!

The Vanilla Cake Mix contains Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Wheat Flour, Organic Wheat Starch, Baking Powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, non-gmo corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), Natural Vanilla Flavor, Sea Salt. It contains wheat and is manufactured in a facility that processes other products that contain: Egg, Milk, Soy, Tree Nuts, and Wheat. The mixes only require eggs, butter or oil, and milk or water but their website has full instructions on how to make it dairy free/vegan.

The mix sells for $5.99 and makes 1 cake or 18 cupcakes.

I followed the conventional method and they came out AMAZING! They were SO moist and tasted just like bakery cupcakes!

I was really excited to see what my family thought about the organic and vegan frosting!

The Organic Chocolate Buttercream Frosting contains Organic Powdered Sugar (organic cane sugar, organic cornstarch and/or organic tapioca starch), Organic Palm Oil, Water, Organic Cocoa Powder (processed with alkali), Organic Tapioca and/or Organic Agave Syrup, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Vanilla Extract, Sea Salt, Organic Gum Acacia, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid. I am always REALLY weary to use products that contain Palm Oil but this frosting is made using Rainforest Alliance certified sustainable palm oil from Colombia on farms previously used for other crops to avoid deforestation.

My family and I LOVED this frosting! It’s unlike any frosting I have ever had but for the better! It reminds me of home made frosting and I am hooked!

I am hooked on Miss Jones Baking Co. Products! They are a little more pricey compared to other mixes I have bought in the past but I honestly feel they are worth it. They also have a nice selection of Baker Boxes that contain items such as mixes, utensils, ingredients and even apparel. These would make an AMAZING gift for the baker in your family!

Their products are available through their Website, Amazon and at select stores.
