Orange Julius Copy Cat Recipe

Orange Julius

What is Orange Julius?

Orange Julius is an American fruit drink chain that has been in business since the 1920s. They are famous for a beverage by the same name that contains ice, orange juice, sweetener, milk, powdered eggs, and vanilla.

This is a recipe I grew up with, my mother had a cookbook that she bought for 25cents at a church yard sale that had this recipe in it. A favorite memory of mine was my mother taking us to The Mall of New Hampshire and every time we went, we would stop at Orange Julius. I always felt like this recipe tasted very similar to the chain. I’ve tried countless other copycat recipes but this is my favorite.

6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
8-10 ice cubes

1. Combine all ingredients except ice cubes in a blender.
2. Blend for about 1-2 minutes, adding ice cubes one at a time.
