Homemade Coffee Concentrate with Amora Coffee
It’s the time of year when I love cold brew coffee, but now that I am a new mom, I’ve been trying to be a little more budget conscious and decided to make homemade coffee concentrate using Amora Coffee.
Amora Coffee was established in 2011 and they have one goal: cutting out the middle man and delivering fresh coffee and tea to your doorstep. Amora uses only the finest of beans and a 9-stage roasting process. They currently offer a large variety of original blends, flavored blends, and even specialty blends. They DO offer a special cold brew coffee pack that makes cold brewing easier. I decided to give it a go using their Elegante Coffee Blend.
So, I started off with a french press I bought on Amazon.
Recipe:
The package of Amora Coffee states the rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon to 6 oz of coffee. For this recipe, I use 3 tablespoons of ground coffee to 21 oz of water. A lot of recipes call to leave the coffee to seep at room temperature but I always put it in the fridge.
After letting the coffee seep overnight(roughly 8-12 hours). I push the plunger down and pour the concentrate into a 2 qt container and add water until it’s to the top. Some people choose to not premix their concentrate but I do just to save time. You CAN use 1/4-1/2 cup of concentrate and mix it with water or milk to your liking. I personally premix it and still add milk.

I was really impressed with Amora Coffee and how the coffee concentrate came out using this recipe. I suggest trying it and adjusting to your own personal preference. You can also elevate the recipe by using coffee iced cubes, flavor syrups, and milk foam.
