My mother is a self proclaimed crazy cat lady. She has 5….yes you read that correctly FIVE cats! Every single one is a rescue and has a unique backstory. My Grandmother is also living with my mother temporarily and she has 2 of her own cats. My mom has been a cat person for as long as I can remember,My mother even has multiply cat tattoos. She really is the crazy cat lady! With five cats you can imagine how hard it might be to keep up on the mess they might cause, that is why she was the person I thought of when Swiffer® and Barkbox asked me to gift a welcome kit to someone I know.
Let me give you a little backstory about my moms cats. The first cat in the group is named Mustang, she is a black and white long haired cat that is 13 years old. My mother rescued her from a woman who’s cat had kittens and she did not want the litter. The second cat is named Max(seen in the picture above) who is a grey tabby who is 13, he was a stray that my mother took in. The next cat is named Troubles, his story is a very sad one. He was a kitten when my mother rescued him when we lived in Pennsylvania, He was found at the post office as a little tiny kitten and he had dirt caked in his eyes, mouth and ears. He also suffers from some hips issues that we suspect was from abuse. He is now 8 and is a beautiful orange tabby. The last two cats my mother rescued are two white kittens who are sisters. They were listed on craigslist as free,The guy brought them to our house in a shoe box and we literately had to teach them how to use the litter box. Their names are Baby Girl and Lilly(after my grandmother). As I stated above my grandmother is also staying with my mother and she has two cats. Her older cat is named Mischief and he is a beautiful 16 year old black cat. He was rescued from a snowbank when he was just a kitten, Her other cats name is Kodah, It means friend in Lakota Suix, She is a beautiful 5 year old Maine Coon.
As you can see my mother really has her hands full. This is why I chose her to receive the welcome box. She says the Swiffer really helps keep her kitchen floor clean, which is where the cats eat. My mother does clean her cat boxes twice daily but as you can imagine smells do linger which is when the Febreze comes in handy.
My mother has such a big heart when it comes to animals and that is another reason I chose her to receive the box. Thank you so much to Swiffer and Bark Box for providing My mother and I a box full of goodies!
