I love honey so when I received a bundle from Bee K’onscious Artisanal Honey I was super excited to give the products a taste test, especially because I love making mead and I’m always looking for new honey’s to use.
Bee K’onscious Artisanal Honey offers 100% raw honey directly from the bee farm to your table. All of their honey is high quality, additive-free and unprocessed. I always purchase raw honey because the majority of honey on the market is full of additives that affect the flavor.
Their collection of honey includes Brazilian Cipo Uva, Californa Sage, Montana Clover, and Brazilian Marmeleiro Prateado.
As of right now, I’ve only taste-tested the California Sage Honey, This honey comes from the slopes of California’s Sierra Nevada range that is produced during the bloom in spring and summer. Some years do not even produce a harvest so this is a very sought after honey. This honey tastes like the honey I am used to and it’s very flavorful…I won’t lie! I sometimes even eat it with a spoon!
You can read more about the other honey in the collection below:
- Brazilian Cipo Uva: Cipo Uva is one of the many varieties of flowers in the Brazilian Rainforest. This honey has a light amber color and a floral odor. The flavor profile is intense honey and slightly fruity.
- Montana Clover: Clover is often considered this standard in the world of honey. The flavor profile is sweet with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. This is similar to the honey many of us are used to.
- Brazilian Marmeleiro Prateado: Marmeleiro, has a brief flowering of blossoms and is typically found in northeast Brazil. This is considered raw honey and the flavor profile is fruity, sweet, marshmallow-like flavor.
Dedication to Traceability:
One thing I really love about Bee K’onscious Artisanal Honey is their dedication to traceability. Every jar features a QR code. You can scan the code, enter lot number from the jar and you can access information on beekeepers name, where it was harvested, certificate of analysis, honey facts, and an image of the beekeepers and/or hives. That is a huge selling point for me!
You can purchase their honey for $18 a jar or a 3 pack bundle for $48.00.
