About Father’s Day:
The first event that honored Fathers was held in West Virginia in 1908 to honor 362 men who died during a coal mine accident. The idea of an official day to celebrate fathers was thought up by Sonora Smart Dodd who is credited as the official founder of the national holiday known as Father’s Day. The first official Father’s Day event was held in Spokane, Washington in 1910.
In 1916 President Woodrow Wilson praised Spokane for its Father’s Day Services, over time the idea of Father’s Day grew popular and more presidents spoke out about their support for it. During WWII, many retailers promoted Father’s Day to honor American Troops and by the time millions of American fathers returned home from WWII, it was celebrated nationwide. In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed an executive order declaring the third Sunday of June as Father’s Day.
Finally, In 1972, President Richard Nixon established a nationwide observation of Father’s Day. Just six years later, Sonora Smart Dobb died at 96 years old and saw her idea become a reality.

My husband was really excited to find a brand that offers two-leg widths and was also excited to find a brand that is promoting body positivity for men.
