It all started in the early 1900s, on the north edge of Baton Rouge. With the help of his family, Cap Saurage opened a country store to sell coffee and other groceries to his neighbors. By 1919, Cap had discovered a secret blend that was richer, bolder and smoother than any coffee around. He named his popular coffee “Community Coffee” to honor his friends and neighbors. It was a coffee for his community. Cap had laid the foundation for the largest family owned and operated retail coffee brand in America. Over 95 years and many changes later Community Coffee Company is still going strong!
They sell a huge range of coffee including ground, single serve and they even sell teas. Some of the great flavors they offer are Pumpkin Praline, Southern Bread Pudding, Ground Dark Roast and so much more!
I was sent two boxes of their single serve coffee to review. The flavors I received are French Vanilla and Golden Caramel.
French Vanilla is well rounded coffee with a creamy vanilla flavor and the Golden Caramel is buttery flavor of caramel blended with medium roasted coffee. Each box of kcups contains 12 kcups and Community Coffee Company also sells Coffee Pods for single serve coffee makers.
Kcups from Community Coffee Company sell for $8.49 while the Pods sell for $8.99.
Review:
I loved the Golden Caramel Kcups until my coffee maker broke and I passed both boxes onto my mother. She LOVED the coffee and said it had a great blend of flavor and was not bitter. I think a box of 12 is well priced and you can purchase the coffee directly from their website. I hope to buy some of their ground coffee in the near future to use in my Ninja Coffee Bar!
