Doorstep Desserts Review

Doorstep Desserts is an awesome subscription box that delivers proportioned ingredients that allows you to make pastry chef inspired desserts at home. Its super quick and easy!

You can subscribe weekly for $18, bi-weekly for $20 and monthly for $22.

Each box contains the ingredients needed to make that weeks recipe, a recipe card which features step by step directions and a card that lists all of the ingredients in the items you receive. It is such a unique experience and I have never seen another box like this one!

I received the ingredients to make Eclair Cakes!

The kit I received contained 2 5″ New York Style Yellow Cakes, 1 Container of Bavarian Cream and 1 Fudge Icing. The kit makes 2 cakes!

The recipe card indicates you are to cut eat cake in half, spoon 1 layer of Bavarian cream onto each cake, replace the top of the cake and after placing the fudge icing in a microwave safe dish and microwaving it for 25 seconds to spoon it over the cakes. SO EASY!

Review:

I really like the idea of Doorstep Desserts and the items I received were super tasty however I do have a few complaints. The cakes stuck REALLY bad to the inside of the bags and I actually lost a good portion of the top of the cakes because they were stuck to the bag. The cakes were also VERY hard to cut and they actually crumbled in my hand. But In my opinion aesthetics isn’t everything and they sure did taste AMAZING!
