I recently came across The Witch’in Way, a subscription box that is dedicated to serving those who practice Earth Based Spirituality. The box’s creators are Elen of the Ways who is a Shaman, Herbalist, and Hedgewitch, she has 13 years of Shamanism experience and 3 years of Herbalism training, Willow Moonhawk who has been a practicing Eclectic Witch since 1998 and Amethyst Owlbear who is a novice witch. They also have an online shop that is fully stocked with items that are perfect for any practicing witch.
I received the Imbolc Box which featured the following.
The word Imbole is derived from the Gaelic word “omiele” which means “ewe’s milk” or “quickening”. The Druids named this festival after the lactating sheep which was an important sign of the coming spring.
- Blue Calcite which is often used in purification rituals. It’s a great stone to keep close to those suffering from chronic illnesses which are awesome because I suffer from chronic pain. It uses include stimulating metabolism, strengthening the immune system stabilizing the rhythm of the heart, lowering blood pressure and dissolving pain.
- The Witch’in Way Purification Incense Blend which features Dried Citrus, Sage, and Lavender.
- Cedar which is scared to the festival of Imbole, the fragrant and calming smoke that forms, when burned, is believed to allay nightmares, night terrors, hauntings, malevolent influences, thought forms, evil spirits, and ill-meaning animals. Cedar smoke is used to purify the body as well as the home.
- Coltsfoot which is one of the first flowers to make its appearance in spring. They are bright flowers that resemble dandelions and are wonderful in honey as a cough expectorant.
- Brigid’s Cross which is woven from rushes and traditionally hung over doors and windows for the year, then burned or replaced at the next Imbole, it welcomes the Goddess into the home.
- Imbole Prayer Beads which feature 9 beads, 4 Celtic knot separators that represent the 4 elements and begins/ ends with a triskele charm and a goddess charm.
- White Candle
- Charcoal discs
- Sage
- Mini Cauldron
I think the items made an amazing addition to my altar. I was really impressed with the variety of items I received and was very excited to learn about Imbole. The scrolls that arrived in the box contained tons of helpful information with suggested uses for the prayer beads and tons of background information on everything I received. The little cauldron is absolutely ADORABLE and the prayer beads were gorgeous.
Boxes are $38 which I think is a steal!
