A few weeks ago a company called SleepPhones reached out to me to talk about possibly reviewing their products, the pitch could not have come at a better time because my chronic pain has gotten a lot worse so I’ve been spending more time in bed or just laying down in general for procedures and such so I instantly became fascinated with their product and was really excited to try it.
SleepPhones are specially designed headphones in the form of a comfortable headband which are ideal for use when laying down. They are also ideal for traveling or someone who’s partner snores. They feature superior sound quality with eco-friendly, lead-free electronics. The super thin, high-quality speakers are tucked inside of a soft, cozy headband which allows you to lay on your side comfortably, without earbuds or headphones digging into your head. They come in two different fabric choices, the first is fleece which features their innovative SheepCloud™ fabric which is woven from a luxurious, smooth fleece material. The second is their SheepCloud™ Breeze fabric which is great for folks who find fleece to heavy or who live in warmer climates.
I receive the corded model but they also have a wireless model that uses Bluetooth.
The headband fits over my head and ears comfortable, I have hooked it up to both my iPhone and iPod and was very impressed with the sound quality. It’s great for when my chronic pain is high and I want to lay in bed and listen to meditation tapes without having traditional headphones dig into my head.
You can purchase the corded model for $39.95 and the wireless model for $99.95. For the same prices, you can also purchase RunPhones which features a sporty, moisture-wicking, machine-washable headband. They also sell a product called TellyPhones which allows you to comfortably listen to TV in bed via a Bluetooth transmitter that connects to your TV without disturbing your partner.
