My Horror Pack arrived yesterday and I have already checked out all four DVDs I received.
The box I received contained Cody Knotts Pro Wrestlers VS. Zombies, The Orphanage, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and The Barber.
Cody Knotts Pro Wrestlers VS. Zombies is a two disc DVD that features Roddy Pipper, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Matt Hardy, Kurt Angle and many more. The DVD was released in 2013 and features a story line of a wrestler named Shane “The Franchise” Douglas who kills a fellow wrestler in the ring. the deceased wrestler’s brother Angus (Ashton Amherst) decides to take matters into his own hands by summoning an ancient demon to seek revenge. He’s granted the power of necromancy and Angus wastes no time in tricking Shane and Rowdy Roddy Piper into traveling to a remote location by promising them money in return for a personal appearance. Once there, Shane and Roddy must fight their way through hordes of flesh-eating zombies and stop Angus before he takes his revenge any further. This is one of the only DVDS I actually have not watched yet.
The Orphanage is Spanish movie with English Subtitles. It is about a woman who returns to her childhood home which is a seaside orphanage. I honestly have no idea what the movie is about because its in Spanish and the subtitles are a little hard to follow even though I watch movies with subtitles constantly.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose is a special edition DVD and follows the story of the trial against a priest who is being held responsible for the death of Emily Rose who dies during an exorcism. It really is a fantastic movie and features Laura Linney(You Cant Count On Me), Tom Wilkinson(In The Bedroom) and Jennifer Carpenter(White Chicks).
The Barber features one of my favorite actors Malcolm McDowell(Rob Zombies Halloween) follows the story of a local Barber and Serial Killer Dexter Miles. The movie takes place in Alaska and he geographic location features 24-hour darkness, which serves as a metaphor for psychological darkness that drives Miles to go on a murderous rampage. Fantastic Movie my only complaint is the DVD I featured does not have English subtitles, sometimes I use often due to a hearing impairment.
Review:
As a horror fan I was very impressed with the DVD’s I received. I have heard of The Exorcism of Emily Rose but not the other movies which gave me a great opportunity to watch movies I have never heard of or have seen.
I highly recommend Horror Pack.
