I am a coffee fanatic, seriously, I can destroy a pot of coffee in no time. I HATE Bad coffee though, I think we have pretty much have all had a bad cup of coffee, could be the beans, water, coffee maker etc, I however am a strong believer in you must start with a good coffee maker, For years I used a $25 special I got on sale at the local big box store but I wanted to upgrade, So I started doing research and came across the iCoffee, It totally intrigued me. It was unlike any coffee maker I had ever came across.
iCoffee contains SteamBrew technology which is six rotational hot water jets, brew-viewing window, gold-tone filtration, 12-cup fully automatic, 24-hour programmable, automatic shut-off with 2-hour keep warm, and rich coffee crèma extraction that is seen forming in the exclusive Brew Window. Drip brewers rain hot water down unevenly on the grounds. You can see the evidence of this by looking at the crater that can be formed in the grounds after brewing. Unfortunately, this results in the over-extraction of unwanted acidic and bitter coffee oils. Single-serve coffee makers are popular because they are fast, easy to use and convenient. Unfortunately, the pump can quickly force hot water through finely ground coffee at excessive speeds, resulting in over-extraction of unwanted acidic and bitter coffee oils.(all to often I have found grounds in my coffee too), The French Press completely surrounds and suspends coffee grounds with hot water, extracting exquisite coffee flavors with none of the bitter, acidic aftertaste. Unfortunately, the French Press is inconvenient to use, the coffee becomes cold quickly, it is time consuming to brew and clean, and it is limited to only a few cups.
Here is how the iCoffee works:
Review:
Seriously, I dont even know if I am going to be able to express how IN LOVE with this coffee maker I am, I have long had a problem with bitter coffee which gives me HORRIBLE heartburn, I was a little skeptical when the company said you will find your self using less coffee but I seriously have, which in return saves money which makes me very happy and my wallet even fuller. I found when using flavored coffee the iCoffee system really pulls out those flavors and makes drinking coffee an all around enjoyable experience, I also found my self using less cream and sugar because I am not covering up a bitter taste. On the frequently asked questions on the website it did mention a coffee sediment at the bottom of the cup which I did experience, it didn’t effect the taste at all and after awhile I ended up just using the optional filter that was supplied with the brewer. The coffee maker is only 14.5” tall so it fits perfectly on my table. My favorite part is the coffee maker plays Mozart when its done which is great in the morning, but if you dont like it, its easy to turn it off. I found the iCoffee sounds very similar to the percolator my dad uses! Other then that, it isnt loud at all. I found since I started using this coffee maker my heartburn doesnt come first thing in the morning when I enjoy my coffee I would assume since the iCoffee cuts down some of the acidity in the coffee.
I honestly think the iCoffee has produced some of the best coffee I have ever had!
Be sure to check their store locator to find it near you Or you can find it online.
The coffee maker sells for $149.95 on most sites but you can get it on amazon RIGHT now for $120.05!
