Dear Mama,
I have always looked up to you as a role model and when I say I think you are the best mother ever I am not exaggerating, I personally think I hit the Mother jackpot when I landed you as a mother. You have always been a nurturing mother and I will be grateful if I can be HALF the mother you are to your children.
I think you are beautiful and strong women that have never let obstacles get in her way, I have always thought of you as a Phoenix because through my life I have seen you rise from the ashes stronger and more fierce. You have displayed exceptional strength through the years and this has rubbed off on me, I credit you for shaping me into the young women I am. You have instilled certain morals in me that are often pointed out by many people including how caring and compassionate I am. I also credit you for my success in life because you have taught me that no goal is unreachable as long as you set your mind to it.
I am incredibly proud to call you my mother but also my best friend, I feel we have a Mother/Daughter relationship that is special and one that not everyone has the pleasure of experiencing. You have picked me up on numerous occasions when I hit what felt like rock bottom and you are my biggest cheerleader. You have advocated for me when I felt like I didn’t have a voice and even though we butt heads which I think is because we are both strong women that are very opinionated I am forever grateful for our close relationship.
You are literally the best Mother a Daughter could EVER ask for and I just want to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day.
Signed,
Your grateful Daughter Stephy

Well you are a wonderful daughter so being your mother came easy. I love you to the moon and back!
Steph, that was just beautiful period. Your mom had the hardest childhood given to anyone. Me being the oldest carried the burden of trying to be a mother of 3 younger siblings at the age of 19. Life was very hard for all of us including my dad who never spoke of our mom, I guess the pain was too much for him to bear. I always felt like I never did enough and failed as a stand in mother. Who knows, when the day comes we will all be together again. That’s my hope. Thanks for that letter, I know it meant the world to your mom!!
