Pets are so important. For years I have always owned cats and my husband and I discussed a few times bringing a dog into our house but never was able to find the right fit. I searched rescues in the area and was never able to find a good fit, either the dogs did not get along with cats(we already ha a cat) or it just wasn’t  good fit, That was into we met Loki through a friends of ours. Our friends dog had puppies and I absolutely fell in love with Loki who was only called “Green Boy” when I met him. One of the things that made me fall in love with this litter was the fact that the dogs come from a long line of service and working dogs. I am disabled so I was really looking for a dog that could cater to some of my needs.

Loki has been an amazing dog since day one. He is very affectionate especially when I have a panic attack and having a dog in our family not only makes me feel safe when my husband works long hours but its also a responsibility that I have that makes me get up in the morning, due to my depression and chronic pain I would probably lay in bed all day if I didn’t have a dog.

Pets are also very important to children, a study conducted by Swiffer® shows that 93% of American parents feel that having a pet is one of the most rewarding experiences a child can have. However pet messes are a major concern for most pet parents. 75% of those that do not already have a pet agree that concerns over pet-related messes could prevent them from owning a pet. With Swiffer, pet parents can get a thorough clean in minutes, so pet hair mess never becomes an obstacle to bringing home your child’s first pet.

Scott Foley joined forces with Swiffer in NYC to launch Swiffer’s “Welcome Home” child’s first pet campaign, The idea behind the campaign is that cleaning concerns should never be an obstacle to adopting a child’s first pet this holiday season. During the recent event 5 dogs found their forever homes!
Swiffer and Bark & Co. are providing 10,000 Welcome Home Kits to participating shelters across the country and Swiffer is making a $50,000 total
donation to select shelters to support their needs this holiday season.

Let me tell you! With having a long haired cat AND a dog that sheds like crazy and hates being brushed I am super excited to team up with Swiffer. I live in less then 550 square feet and I am SHOCKED at the amount of pet messes my tiny house can collect but Swiffer has you covered!

I recently received a Welcome Home Kit from Swiffer and Bark & Co.

The welcome kit I received contained:

  • -Swiffer Sweeper Refills
  • -Swiffer 360 Duster
  • 1 free coupon for a Swiffer Sweeper Starter Kit
  • 1 free coupon for any Febreze Product(I decided on Lavender)
  • A Dog Toy
  • Treats
  • A sample of dog food
  • and a Welcome Home Guide

The kit was seriously LOADED with everything a pet parent could ever want to tackle mess. The Swiffer Sweeper is fantastic and I was actually SHOCKED the first time I used it and I saw the amount of fur that my vacuum misses. Loki really loved the toy, treats and dog food and honestly the Welcome Home Guide had some great information on bringing home a pet!
