Pet messes can be the worst! Rosie is not 100% house broken yet but we are getting there slowly(if you have missed me talking about her adoption story before she was crated for upwards of 20 hours a day for most of her life, she was not housebroken at all when we welcomed her into our home) so she occasionally still has accidents around the house. I have heard of the Star Brite brand before and I was really interested in trying their Performacide line.
Star Brite started with a single product, Star brite® Auto Polish. Over the years they have expanded their line to carry other products including boat care, home care, and even products aimed towards the aviation, outdoor power equipment, and motorcycle market.
Their Performacide line is PHENOMENAL! What caught my attention is the fact that it kills germs, bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi. You simply have to immerse the PERFORMACIDE® sachet in water and after 1 hour it has created a powerful ClO2 solution that disinfects, sanitizes, deodorizes and eliminates mold and mildew. After mixing, the solution is active for 15 days.
The full list of bacteria and viruses it kills are MRSA, Staphylococcus Aureus, Listeria moncytogenes, Pseudomonas aruginosa, Salmonella, Athlete’s foot, Vancomycin Resistant, Enterococcus faecalis, Mycobacterium bovis (TB), Candida albicans, E Coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Adenovirus type 5, Coronavirus, HIV-1, Hepatitis A, Herpes Simplex-2, Poliovirus-1, Influenza A, Canine Parvovirus, Norovirus, Feline Calicivirus, Rhinovirus, Rotavirus, Vaccinia Virus, Fusarium solani, Botrytis Sp, Penicillium digitatum and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.
It is very clear to me why this product is ideal for hospitals, medical facilities, veterinary hospitals & kennels, public areas, first responder facilities and equipment, clinics, rehabilitation facilities, diagnostic centers, food processing and serving facilities & beverage bottling facilities. It, however, is great for in-home use as well! I use it to clean up both pet messes and as a regular all-purpose cleaner to clean my kitchen and bathroom.
I honestly expected it to have a very strong scent but it didn’t, it cut through grime and dirt easily and left my stove looking brand new. It also easily cuts through pet odors and messes easily which makes it great for pet parents.
