I live in a very small house and now that summer is coming, I am doing everything I can to NOT use my oven! I used my oven last week and it was SO HOT in here that I couldnt handle it. I will have tons of recipes coming up that involve the grill!
Stuffed Peppers on the Grill!
What you need:
Four Peppers
Three Pieces of Bread
One Cup of White Rice
Two Cups of Water
One Pound of Hamburger
One Can of Tomato Sauce
Seasonings
Mozzarella Cheese
Butter
1 Onion
Cup of Mushrooms
Preheat Grill, Turn on both burners, close lid, fry up hamburger, start preparing the rice(one cup of rice per two cups of water). Slice up onion and mushrooms into small pieces(I used a food processor to save time)cook with hamburger, once hamburger is cooked, drain and add cooked rice into pan, add can of tomato sauce and stir. Prepare the peppers by cutting off the tops and removing any seeds. Go back to the grill, turn off one side of the grill and line THAT side with tin foil. Fill Peppers to the top with filling, sprinkled with mozzarella cheese and desired seasoning(I used italian seasoning,Mrs.Dash and salt and pepper). Rip up pieces of bread and stick in top, melt butter in microwave and pour over the top, Put on the grill on the tin foil, close cover and cook for 25 minutes or until peppers are tender.
