Last winter was really rough on us here in Vermont. I had lost power off and on all winter, had my pipes freeze, ran out of oil and got stuck indoors by a blizzard. I vowed to build a Bug Out Bag before the following winter and that is just what I have done.
I decided to focus on a Bug Out Bag as well as a Survival Kit that way we can take it with us if we need to but we can still use it if we are in place. A Bug Out Bag is a portable kit that normally contains the items one would require to survive for seventy-two hour while a survival kit is a package of basic tools and supplies prepared in advance as an aid to survival in an emergency.
I recently reached out to Survivalist Box to see if they wanted to team up, they politely accepted.
Survivalist Boxis a monthly subscription box that features between 4 and 7 curated items that we have personally tested and selected. They try to include 1-2 EDC tools, an outdoor item or two or a homestead type item and a food or water item. The best part of all their boxes are environmentally friendly. Each box is recyclable and use water-based inks. Boxes are sourced from FSC-certified vendors whenever possible. The packing material is Greenway Eco-Fill which is 100% recycled and produced in a sustainable factory. It can also be used as either tinder for a fire or as “brown” material for a compost pile. I decided to hang onto some for tinder!
They have two subscriptions to choose from.
Survivalist Box Lite contains 2-4 items and sells for $25 a month.
Survivalist Box contains 4-7 items and sells for $45 a month.

Review:
I was impressed with the variety of the items I received. I put everything into my kit and it contained some important items I didn’t have already such as a saw and a good flint striker. I really like that it included food items because I feel like your kit can never have enough food items. I personally feel like the Survivalist Box is a great value and perfect for any survivalist!
