In 1804, San-Jirushi which would later go on to be the founding company of San-J was established in Mie, Japan as a Tamari soy sauce and miso company. Their company secrets have been passed down for over 200 years and in 1987, the first Tamari brewery outside of Japan was built and thus San-J was born. Today the company is owned by an eighth-generation member of the founding family.
Today they produce and sell Tamari Soy Sauce, Organic Shoyu, Asian Cooking Sauce, Salad Dressing, All-Natural Instant Soup and Brown Rice Crackers.
Thanks to Moms Meet I was sent three bottles of their Asian Cooking Cause and some extra goodies!
I received Thai Peanut, Mongolian Sauce, and Orange Sauce.
The Thai Peanut is perfect as a dipping sauce but also as a marinade. It is made using San-J’s famous Tamari soy sauce with 100% soybeans and no wheat content.
Ingredients
Tamari Soy Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Salt, Alcohol), Organic Sugar, Peanuts, Water, Apple Cider Vinegar, Sake (Water, Rice, Salt), Rice Vinegar, Organic Honey, Garlic Powder, Salt, Spices, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Canola Oil, Cilantro, Xanthan Gum.
The Mongolian Sauce is the easiest and fastest way to make Mongolian Beef at home! My mom would make Mongolian Beef when I was a kid and I couldn’t get enough of it! It pairs well with chicken, shrimp, and tofu and also is made using San-J’s famous Tamari soy sauce.

The Orange Sauce is super tasty and I am so happy I can make Orange Chicken at home with ease! It’s a great glaze for chicken, ribs, shrimp or tofu and also goes well in stir fries or even as a dipping sauce.
Ingredients
Organic Sugar, Water, Tamari Soy Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Salt, Alcohol), Orange Juice Concentrate, Rice Vinegar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Tomato Paste, Organic Honey, Arrowroot, Garlic Powder, Canola Oil, Xanthan Gum, Spice.
I have tried the Orange Sauce and Thai Peanut Sauce so far and I really like them, they are full of flavor and make cooking some of my favorite Asian dishes easy. I really like that their products are Non-GMO Project verified because my family limits their GMO consumption. I can’t WAIT to make Mongolian Beef at home and when I do I will be sure to update!
