For YEARS I have heard about Turducken and always wanted to try one. For those that don’t know Turducken is an amazing invention! It is Turkey, Duck and Chicken all in one amazing meal!
Echelon Foods has a few different varieties of Turduckens to choose from, They have two varieties of The Original Turducken which is a de-boned whole turkey wrapped around moist duck and chicken breasts, and stuffed with chicken apple or Italian sausage stuffing and three varieties of their Turducken Roast which is de-boned duck and chicken breasts stuffed in a whole turkey but the wings and legs are removed. You can purchase the roast in bacon wrapped, chicken apple stuffing and Italian sausage stuffing.
Echelon Foods was kind enough to send my family their Original Turducken which chicken apple sausage.
The Original Turducken feeds 12-15 adults and comes de-boned expect for the wings and legs. It is very easy to cook, just thaw and pop in the oven. You don’t even have to baste and the best part is it all comes preseasoned!
The Original Turducken sells for $84.99.
Review:
The Turducken arrived frozen and I thawed it in the sink with water over night. I followed the instructions on the Turducken that instructed I cook it at 220°F. I cooked it for about 6 hours and it came out AMAZING! The duck was actually my favorite! It melted in your mouth and was seasoned perfectly. I was also left with TONS of meat left and decided to freeze most of it. All of the meat was very moist and super flavorful and as someone who has failed TWO thanksgivings in a row to cook a moist turkey this Turducken was SUPER easy to cook and I did not screw it up.
I highly recommend Echelon Foods for your Turducken needs!
awesome! thanks for the review we’ve always wanted to try one and being that it was so moist it may be on our table one day
