I have been a HUGE fan of Vermont Smoke and Cure for over four years now! They have wonderful bacon and other meats! So when I was given the opportunity to try their new “Real Sticks” I was beyond excited!
Vermont Smoke and Cure is located in Hinesburg, Vermont and sell a wide range of products such as Bacon, Sausage, Pepperoni and much more! Best of all Everything is made from scratch in Vermont!
The Real Sticks come in three flavors, BBQ, Chipotle and Cracked Pepper. They are gluten free and contain 50% less fat and 40% less salts then other leading snack sticks. They are also low carb, dairy free,no MSG, and nothing artificial!
I have provided a break down on all the individual flavors with my review:
BBQ:
The BBQ is made with Beef grown with no antibiotics and never fed animal by products.
No Sodium Nitrite, No nitrites or nitrates added except for those found naturally occurring in celery juice and sea salt, Gluten Free, Nut Free and Dairy Free.
Beef BBQ Stick Ingredients: beef, spices, molasses powder, sea salt, evaporated cane sugar, onion, celery juice powder, garlic, ascorbic acid, lactic acid starter culture.* Encased in collagen casing. Contains no gluten, no nuts, no milk. *not from milk.
Personally the BBQ is my favorite out of all, the flavor is wonderful and the texture is great. Its packed full of flavor but isnt over bearing. Its mild enough to not leave your mouth burning but has a nice zing to it!
Chipotle:
The Chipotle is made with Beef and Pork grown with no antibiotics and never fed animal by products.
No Sodium Nitrite, No nitrites or nitrates added except for those found naturally occurring in celery juice and sea salt, Gluten Free, Nut Free and Dairy Free.
Chipotle Stick Ingredients: beef, pork, spices, molasses powder, sea salt, onion, celery juice powder, ascorbic acid, garlic, lactic acid starter culture.* Encased in collagen casing. *Not from milk. Contains no gluten, no nuts, no milk.
The Chipotle was my least favorite, it left an unbearable hot flavor in my mouth and it sneaks up on you, My husband however liked the chipotle, so I guess in the end it is personally preference, if you do not like hot foods, I suggest staying away from this one.
Cracked Pepper:
Cracked Pepper is made with Beef grown with no antibiotics and never fed animal by products.
No Sodium Nitrite, No nitrites or nitrates added except for those found naturally occurring in celery juice and sea salt, Gluten Free, Nut Free and Dairy Free.
Beef & Pork Cracked Pepper Stick Ingredients: beef, pork, sea salt, spices, evaporated cane sugar, celery juice powder, ascorbic acid, lactic acid starter culture.* Encased in collagen casing. Contains no gluten, no nuts, no milk. *not from milk.
The Cracked Pepper was my second favorite, It had a wonderful mild flavor to it and left a great after taste, it wasnt overbearing like the Chipotle but didnt have as much flavor in my opinion as the BBQ.
Real Sticks can be purchased on their website for $29.95 for a 24 count box

Cracked pepper 🙂
The pepper flavor!
I don’t normally like smoked meats like that but those sound good!
I’ve never tried these before. Sounds like a good snack.
I am excited to try any but BBq sounds intriguing!
I’D LIKE TO TRY THE BBQ
These could be a good snack for us; my son has to have a gluten free diet and I am always looking for something good for him to snack on. I think he would like to try the beef flavor first.
The BBQ sounds so good and like something my boyfriend would DEVOUR!!
