If you have been following me for a year, you will remember my Brave Themed Disney Side @Home Celebrations party last year. I was lucky enough to be selected again this year for a Villains themed party!
I decided to team the party up with my 23rd birthday party!
We did however get slammed with snow this year so the party did not turn out as big of a success as I would of liked, but I did spend my birthday with my husband, daughter, mother, step father, brother and grandmother, it was small and nice to spend time with my close family.
I made cake with homemade mocha frosting and cupcakes with pink frosting.
Mocha Frosting Recipe:
1 box of Confectioners Sugar
1/2 cup of baking cocoa
1/2 cup of coffee(the family member who use to make it would get it at the gas station or local coffee shop and let it cool, I used my Keurig to brew just one cup, either works fine)
6 tablespoons of margarine(Butter works fine too, my husband prefers it with margarine)
1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract
*I highly suggest having extra confectioners sugar on hand, Iv learned this trick after years of ending up with soupy frosting and having to run to the store for me*
I personally make frosting by hand but if you have more experience or are more confident then I am, you can use a mixer
1) Mix coffee and cocoa in bowl, whisk until well blended, mix remaining ingredients into coffee/cocoa mixture. Spread on Cake and Enjoy!
I was also sent a huge package to make my party a success,
We all had a blast playing the games and even giving each other villain inspired manicures! While my family was snowed in, we had a blast and even watched Maleficent, what disney villains party would be complete without it!
Thank you Disney @Home Celebrations for making my 2015 party a blast and taking my families mind off the snow!
