My #DisneySide at Home Celebration!

Stephs Cheers and Jeers was provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review.

I have been a HUGE Disney fan since I was a small child, growing up Disney movies was a daily thing, my room was COVERED in Disney stuff(I even had a Disney themed bed set) and even as an adult, My Hubby and I are HUGE Disney fans, our latest favorite movie is Brave.

I was given a wonderful opportunity by Disney Side Celebrations to host a party at my house to show off MY Disney Side.  I was THRILLED to be selected as a host.

As a hostess I received this BEAUTIFUL Suitcase. The suit case is  American Tourister  brand, the official luggage of Walt Disney World Resorts and Disneyland.
Inside the suitcase I received Mickey Mouse themed plates, napkins, cupcake papers, decorations. I also received cookie cutters, HP photo paper, Mickey and Minnie “So This is Love” lithograph and much more!

My party wasnt as successful as I had hoped, we were SLAMMED with Snow  so it was only my Hubby and I, which was GREAT because I made a date night of it!
We Threw Brave on and decided to Brave out the storm that was ahead!
If you havent seen Brave is a MUST!
Merida, an impulsive young lady and daughter to King Fergus and Queen Elinor, is determined to carve her own path in life. Defying the age-old and sacred customs, Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury with the other Scottish Lords, and in the process she stumbles upon an eccentric and wise old woman who grants her ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the true meaning of bravery in order to undead a beastly curse before it’s too late.”
We even enjoyed some WONDERFUL Scottish Haggis!
For those that dont know Haggis is a pudding made from sheep heart, liver, and lungs with minced onions, oatmeal, suet, spices and salt. Its actually VERY tasty!
For dessert we enjoyed Maple Scottish Shortbread!
Recipe:
What you need:
2 sticks of salted butter, Room Temp
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup of white sugar
2 1/2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1) Combine Butter, Maple Syrup, Sugar, Flour and Vanilla in a bowl, Mix well(I always use my hand to make sure it gets mixed well)
2) It will turn into a soft dough
3) At this step I usually roll them into balls and cook them in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes but you can go a step further by flattening them out into cookies
4) Sprinkle with a little sugar when they are done or maple syrup!
Even thought we didnt have a good outcome we still were able to have a great Disney themed celebration! I had a BLAST!
