Back Roads Granola was created by Virginia & Peter Vogel. Their granola only uses the highest quality organic and non GMO ingredients. The granola is shipped daily fresh out of the oven from their rural Vermont bakery. The bakery is located on an 11 acre farm in Southern Vermont and they employ several local bakers to help with orders.

DSCF9712Back Roads Granola sells 5 varieties, Chocolate Pecan, Original, Gluten Free, Ancient Grains,  and Just Oats.

I was sent Original, Gluten Free and Ancient Grains to review.

Orignal

Their Original is made using a family recipe that has been being used by the family for over 40 years and was their first granola that they sold. It contains nuts, seeds & fruit, sweetened with Vermont maple syrup and honey and is certified organic, non dairy, non GMO, No canola and no salt.

gluten-free

The Gluten Free is exactly the same as The Original expect it uses gluten free oats.

ancient-grains

The Ancient Grains contains tons of nuts and seeds but in addition to them contains  rye, barley, chia seeds, and quinoa flakes and has no sugar.

Review:

I was super excited to try their granola because they are super close to me! I love working with companies that are in my area so Back Roads Granola was no exception. I Love the bags the granola came in, they were resealable and had all the important information listed on them. I am really proud that we have a company such as this in our community that strives them selves on using non GMO and organic ingredients. The granola all tasted awesome, my favorite was the original it was just sweet enough and had a great mixture of oats and nuts in it. They defiantly don’t lack in the quantity department when it comes to making sure there is a balanced amount of nuts, seeds and etc in their mix,  which is great! I was also really excited to see they only use Vermont Maple Syrup and Vermont Honey. All around the flavors are well balanced, taste great and make a great snack!

You can buy their product online and they are even found at over 150 locations in 17 states,as far south as the Carolinas and west to Indiana.
