Another reason I love my Crockpot

Ec stands for Egg and Cheese

My Hubby works in Service/Sales and anyone who has ever worked in that field or knows someone who has, your work schedule isn’t always the same. Sometimes you might come home from work an hour late because of a rush of customers. Over the four years he has worked there, I have looked for ways to make dinner good but early(I get hungry sometimes way before he gets home from work) and I just hate the idea of him heating up certain foods. Some foods just dont heat up right. So I have started utilizing my crockpot to act as a warmer. I have done this before with other foods like Potatoes, Burgers and even Chicken.

Today I decided to make bacon, egg and cheese biscuits.
I cooked some potatoes ahead of time, and put them in the bottom of the crock pot.
Then I cooked everything for the biscuits and wrapped them in tin foil and placed them in the crockpot on Low. This is great because I can eat now, and my hubby can eat when he comes home from work and everything will stay warm in between!
I mean how easy is that? Its great too if you want to eat or snack all day long. I have made these sandwiches in the morning and put leftovers in the crockpot(wrapped in foil like mentioned) and ate it again for lunch!

This is also great for days where its hot and you don’t want to run the stove to keep items warm. I also have an ancient microwave so it does not heat food up as well! Like I said above this works with burgers! Iv even put burgers in them not in foil on low or warm to keep them warm at parties and BBQs!
Do you use your crockpot to keep food warm?
