Cookwell & Company’s Review

Stephs Cheers and Jeers was provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review.

I love trying new things especially when it comes to cooking and baked related items.

Cookwell & Company  is owned by Will Petty and Kyle Green. The company is located in Austin, TX and started in 1994. They are celebrating 10 years(Congrats on 10 years, heres to many more!) and offer over 60 products. They are planning to extend their products to Mexico and Europe!
They produce some GREAT flavors of soups, salsas and more!

They sent me along a few items to review and I had a blast!

The first item I received was Bacon Jam.
This topping is AMAZING and made with real bacon!

Ingredients:

Fully Cooked Bacon (Cured in Water, Salt, Sugar, Smoke Flavoring, Sodium Phosphates, Sodium Erythorbate, Sodium Nitrate), Sugar, Onion, Aged Balsamic Vinegar, Agave Nectar, Distilled Vinegar, AppleCider Vinegar, Garlic, Worcestershire Sauce (Distilled Vinegar, Water, CornSyrup, Salt, Molasses, Caramel Color, Spices, Garlic, Natural Flavor, Anchovies, Tamarind, Dextrin and Sulfiting Agents), Mustard (Vinegar, Water, Mustard Seed, Salt, Tumeric, Paprika), Molasses, Spices, Cellulose Gum, and Pectin.

Review: This topping is So smoky and just tastes amazing! It has huge chunks of real bacon and made an amazing topping for meatloaf.

The second item I received was Bock & Brown Sugar Marinade.

Ingredients:

Bock beer, dark brown sugar, filtered water, soy sauce (water, wheat, soybeans and salt), pineapple juice from concentrate, garlic, worcestershire sauce (distilled vinegar, molasses, corn syrup, water, salt, caramel color, garlic powder, sugar, spices, anchovies, tamarind, natural flavor), molasses, ginger, spices, salt.

Review: I found this marinade to be a little too strong(mostly bock beer and vinegar tasting) for my liking. I paired it with chicken and it completely overpowered the chicken. For someone that likes a strong taste this marinade will be perfect!

The last item I received was Teriyaki Glaze

Dark Brown Sugar, Soy Sauce (Water, Wheat, Soybeans and Salt), Pineapple Puree From Concentrate, Rice Wine Vinegar,  Grape Jelly (Grapes, Corn Syrup, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Fruit Pectin, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate), Rice Cooking Wine, Ginger, Molasses, Water, Sesame Seed, Xanthan Gum, and Spices.

Review: This glaze is AMAZING!! I love the sesame seeds and the soy sauce isn’t overpowering

Whats your favorite product they offer?
