Dr. Care VisaView Smart Baby Monitor

Steph’s Cheers and Jeers/Stephy The Spoonie Witch received a complimentary Dr. Care Smart Baby Monitor in exchange for being featured on our site.

When many of us hear the term baby monitor,” we immediately picture a sleeping newborn, all snuggled up in their crib. I know I certainly did. So when my son was about a year and a half, I figured we were past that stage and gave our monitor away. That was a BIG mistake. It didn’t take long for me to realize just how valuable baby monitors still are, especially during the toddler years. Letting go of ours was a decision I regretted almost immediately.

Toddlers are sneaky and wildly creative, and have a knack for getting themselves into the most unexpected predicaments. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve turned my back for a second, only to find my toddler halfway up a dresser or trying to give the cat a glamorous new makeover with markers.

Monitors have once again become a parenting essential. It lets me keep an eye on him while I’m multitasking, like cooking dinner, without needing to hover constantly. A video monitor, in particular, gives me that priceless peace of mind to know if the silence is him napping or plotting his next mischievous adventure.

Dr. Care offers a variety of audio, video, and smart baby monitors at various price points. Over the years, I have tested several baby monitors of different styles, and the VistaView Lite is, without a doubt, my favorite.

I have been assessing their VistaView Lite and their VistaView Lite RB.

Review:

Both of these monitors are fantastic. I’ve set up the VistaView Lite in our living room and the VistaView Lite RB in our bedroom, and I couldn’t be more pleased with this setup. One of my favorite features is the two-way talk function, which allows my husband to communicate with me through the monitors without needing to call or text on our phones while he is multitasking. This has been especially convenient during illness flare-ups. The setup process for both monitors was very user-friendly. They paired with the screen monitor in just a few minutes, completely hassle-free. I also love the split view feature, which lets us monitor both rooms with one screen.

The screen monitor itself is another huge plus. It’s wireless, rechargeable, and easy to carry around the house, so we are never tied down to a specific spot. Honestly, I haven’t even felt the need to use the Dr.Care app because the monitor provides everything I need right out of the box. Their website claims there is a reach of up to 1000ft, and I tested this and agree.

One question I am sure people have is

What is the difference between the two?

The VisaView Lite offers fewer smart detection features compared to other models, but also retains many of the commonly used features. I found it to be still advanced compared to other brands I have used.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of the monitors. They provide a crisp image and clear sound, with no delay, unlike other smart baby monitors I have tested. I feel they offer a wide coverage range, and the inclusion of a handheld monitor on top of an app is really a selling point for me.

The VisaView Lite is $99.99, and The VistaView Lite RB is $109.99.
