I have been on the hunt for a mattress to replace our old dingy one for a few months now and after a disappointing trip to a local mattress store I decided to turn to the internet and that is when I came across Nectar Sleep which I found talked about often on both Facebook and Twitter.
Nectar Sleep Mattresses feature 5 layers, the first is a breathable base layer which measures over a 2.2 ILD rating(most other mattresses measure at just 1.5 ILD, the second layer is Hi Core Memory Foam which is designed to contour to your pressure points. The third layer is a premium Gel Memory Foam which absorbs and distributes heat and always returns to its original state. The fourth layer is Quilted Gel Memory Foam which is breathable, comfortable and allows for air circulation. The fifth layer Long Staple Cotton and Tencel Cooling Cover which draws away heat and circulates air to keep you at the perfect temperature while sleeping. It is also naturally resistant to bed bugs which I think is a really awesome feature.
Nectar Sleep mattresses are not too soft and not too firm which is what drew me to their mattresses because I prefer a softer mattress and my husband prefers a firm mattress so I thought trying one that comes in at the middle would be a good idea.
Nectar Sleep offers mattresses in multiple sizes including Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and Cal King. Prices range from $375-$775 and each mattress comes with two free memory foam pillows. You can pay in full or take advantage of their interest-free payment option. Nectar Sleep also offers a 365-night sleep trial which means if for any reason you don’t enjoy your mattress you can receive a refund. For an extra price Nectar Sleep also offers a service called “White Glove Setup & Removal” which includes mattress set up, packaging removal and removal of your old mattress.
My Queen size mattress arrived in a blue bag and I was so excited to get it inside and set up!! The mattress weighed 74 pounds so I had my husband help me bring it inside.
Inside of the blue bag was another bag that has handles, the handles come in handy when moving the mattress so I suggest first removing the outer blue bag.

The mattress came rolled and compressed so we had to unroll it. We opted to put the mattress on our previous box spring but Nectar Sleep also offers foundations. The mattress included paperwork as well as a tool to safely open the mattress without harming it.
The first thing I noticed was the outer cover! I LOVE it! I also love that it is removable so I can wash it. I, however, did opt to also add a waterproof cover I purchased on Amazon because I do have the dogs on the bed often.

We have been sleeping on our Nectar Sleep Mattress for over a month now and I have to say I am very impressed. The mattress did arrive later than anticipated and I have read many posts about mattresses not shipping in a timely fashion. Their website often gives you a time frame of when the mattress will ship and while you sometimes might have to wait long I assure you that its worth the wait. I love our Nectar Sleep Mattress, its super comfortable and I am very happy. I have noticed I fall asleep faster and don’t wake up as stiff as I used to, my husband is on the fence about the mattress as he personally likes very firm mattresses but he likes it a lot more than the memory foam topper we were using on our old mattress. The free pillows are also nice and I love that they are also memory foam. I am overall very impressed with Nectar Sleep and I highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new mattress.
