My Experience with imPRESS Manicure

Stephs Cheers and Jeers were provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review via Intellifluence.

I am always looking for fun ways to change up my nails and showcase my personality. I have used KISS and imPRESS products off and on for years. In fact, I wore a pair of KISS nails during my High School graduation.

imPRESS was kind enough to send me an array of their Press-On Manicure nails. Their DIY press on nails allows you to “Bring The Salon Home” which is perfect during this pandemic when many nail salons are closed.

Choosing designs that fit my personality is super simple with imPRESS. I, of course, chose two super witchy designs that are apart of their limited edition line. I also chose some more simple designs as well as a translucent design.

What I chose is pictured below:

I love the array of nail designs that imPRESS has to offer. I REALLY loved the Teen Witch and Heart Was Broken the most. They just totally fit my style and I love that they are available for purchase all year.

Apply The Nails:

I found applying the nails to be super easy! You just prep your nail with the included pad, peel off then press on, making sure that the tab is aligned with your cuticle.

It took me about 15 minutes to pick out the nail size, prep, and apply. I love how they look and I received so many compliments when I shared pictures on social media.

Wear:

Here is where I’m a bit disappointed. I use my hands a lot, whether it be taking care of animals, doing other housework, or blogging. The website states that their nails are waterproof and that they are designed to last a few days to a full week. I found that after about an hour or two, the adhesive starts to break down. The website suggests that you select the smaller nail and prep with the included pad to ensure that your nail is clean. I followed these directions and applied firmly.

Still, I only received about three hours of max wear because they started falling off. Oddly enough it always starts with my pinkie finger. Finding a nail small enough to properly fit my pinkie finger I think is where the issue lies.

However, these are still a perfect way to quickly change up my nail style for a quick date night or other events where I’m not using my hands a lot but I found personally for everyday wear, they just can’t keep up. This could be due to my very hands-on lifestyle, the shape of my nails or etc.

The website also suggests for people with smaller nails/nail beds to try their short length.

Overall I am still a fan of imPRESS, They are an affordable and fun way to change up my nails without having to worry about long term negative effects.
