Precious Gem Candle Review and Giveaway

Stephs Cheers and Jeers was provided the samples mentioned in this post in return for an unbiased review.
I love candles, so when Precious Gem Candles decided to send me one of their candles, I was so excited! Who wouldn’t want a candle with a surprise in it?

Precious Gem Candles offer an extra special surprise – a gemstone within every candle. We guarantee that every candle has a gemstone within it valued anywhere from $20-$5000! At least 1 candle in every 1,000 contains a 1/2 carat solitaire certified diamond! Your precious gem will be safely hidden inside of a glass vial buried in your candle.  Treat yourself or a friend with the possibility of a pearl, ruby, topaz, emerald, amethyst, sapphire, peridot, diamond or some other beautiful gemstone.Precious Gem Candles are made from an all-natural, clean-burning soy wax blend. Soy wax is softer than paraffin wax and has a lower melting temperature. The wicks are completely lead-free. You can feel comfortable burning these environmentally friendly candles.
The candle shipped very fast, I received it a few days after ordering it. It was packed well and that is important because all too often I have received items I ordered that are just thrown in a box, this was surely packed with care.
The jar is high quality and I cant wait to upcycle it into something new once my candle is gone!
The candle smells AMAZING and stays lit and burned pretty even.I live in a very small cottage and the scent isn’t overwhelming, however it does make both my bedroom and my living room smell which is very nice!
The gem was a little messy to remove because it was covered in wax. There is a code into the vial with the gem that helps you figure out what your gem is.
I uploaded the picture to their facebook page and found out I have an Amethyst worth $25.
I was very happy with my Gem, Its high quality and I love Amethyst(Its also my birth stone). I am also very happy with the candle, it smells good and burns very clean.
Here are some helpful tips:
1)       Do not trim your wick shorter than ¼”.
2)      Do not burn your candle where an air conditioning or draft is blowing.  This may cause a large mushroom on the tip of the wick.
3)      Be sure to burn your candle until a full meltpool is developed before extinguishing.  Usually this takes 2 – 3 hours, depending on the fragrance.  If you don’t, you may have problems with it burning evenly in subsequent burns.Do not leave your burning candle unattended.
4)      If you don’t think your burning candle has a scent, try putting it in a bathroom for a few minutes, and then check the scent.  It may have more scent than you think.
