Veterans in my Family

Veterans Day is INCREDIBLY important! Its a day where we honor those who have served! I am very proud to come from a family who have had people who have served their country so others can live free.

I thought I would share a little about the Veterans in my family.

My Grandfather Mr. James Hardy was born in 1923. He enlisted in 1942 and was part of the 57th Engineer Combat Battalion. He served in Guadalcanal, Northern Solomons, Southern Philippines  in WWII.  He was a skilled Mason after the military and was an AMAZING man! He sadly passed away before I was born so I never got to meet him but I have heard he was an AMAZING cook.

Thank you Grandpa for your service!

My Grand Grand Father Berley Sumner was born in 1895 and passed away in 1975. He was a private in WWI. Greenwood Bristol VT Berley Sumner & Anna Hallock98180043_1408146222

Using the internet I was able to find his draft cards.
