My chronic pain definitely has affected my ability to cook from scratch like I use to. For the past 6 months or so I have been purchasing Birds Eye Vegetables because their products taste great and make for an easy side dish.

I’m going to talk to you today about some of my favorite products.

Birds Eye Vegetables  have a huge range of items to choose from in addition to their regular brand, they also have Steamfresh, Voila Meals, C&M, Freshlike and McKenzie’s.

My personal favorite is the Streamfresh, they are so easy to cook because you can steam them directly in the bag and they have tons of flavors to choose from. I buy the Couscous Pasta & Spinach often and I sometimes eat it as a side or as lunch.

I was REALLY excited for the Disney branded items! They have flavors such as Pasta & Peas with Parmesan Cheese Sauce, Pasta & Broccoli with a Cheese Sauce, Whole Grain Pasta & Corn with a Butter Sauce and more that feature popular Disney characters such as Frozen, Cars, Micky Mouse, Star Wars, Avengers and Spider-Man.

I decided to try something new and redeemed the coupon I was sent for the Pasta & Peas with Parmesan Cheese Sauce with Anna and Elsa.

The Pasta & Peas with Parmesan Cheese Sauce made a tasty lunch and the package was super fun and I’m sure will get kids to eat their vegetables with no issues.

Recently Birds Eye vegetables teamed up with the Environmental Media Association to help teach children about the importance of vegetables and nutrition. They’re doing this by bringing celebrities back to their hometowns, teaming up with local schools and planting community gardens with the students. The #GreenMySchool program kicked off with Lance Bass in Clinton, MS on April 20th. Lance spoke to the children about the importance of eating healthy foods, agriculture and being a part of your community. EMA and Birds Eye believe that it is truly essential for people to understand where their foods come from and to make nutritional eating choices. Whether you pick them in a garden or grab them out of the freezer, vegetables should be a part of every day for every person.

I think that is an AMAZING idea and I think spreading the word about the importance of making nutritional eating choices is important and educating children about those choices is very important.

I have found their products at Shaws, Hannaford, Walmart, and Market Basket, but you can use their store locator to find their products near you.
