I first heard about Himalayan Salt Lamps years ago when I visited a store in NH, I was drawn in by the beautiful color but it wasn’t until Himalayan Salt Shop sent me one of their lamps to review that I learned all the benefits they have!
So what are Himalayan Salt Lamps?
Himalayan Salt Lamps are made from natural crystal salt minded from underground salt mines in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains.
The Salt Crystal is mounted on a wooden base and is heated with a flame(In the candle holder versions) or a bulb(In the lamp versions).
The heat causes negative ions to be emitted, the negative ions bond to pollutants in the air and neutralizes them.
I was sent the 4-5lb salt lamp to review.
This lamp is designed for small work spaces or rooms, However my house is less then 600 square feet so I put it in the center of my home.
The Crystal is 6-7 inches tall and 4-5 inches wide.
I love the beautiful glow! Its so soothing!
I Love the lamp, I leave it on every day for 2-3 hours and I noticed since I started using it, my sneezing has dramatically declined.(The people who lived here before were smokers and when we moved in it stunk SO bad!), I am extremely impressed by the beauty of the lamp as well. It doesn’t smell salty like I expected and doesn’t emit a smell when heating. Its very easy to clean, just whip dust away with a cloth and your good to go!
