I have been on the hunt for a good cat litter that lasts long, is affordable but also masks odor well. I recently was sent a box of okocat Natural Cat Litter and after trying it I have fully switched to it!

okocat Natural Cat Litter is made from 100% reclaimed wood, its lighter but more absorbent than traditional cat litter and I’ve noticed it lasts up to 4 times longer! Their litters are a blend of spruce, fir and pine, their fiber suppliers comply with policies of the Forest Stewardship Council, Sustainable Forestry Imitative or the Forestry Preservation and Forestry Promotion Act.

I was really excited to try their product and I was first sent their Natural Wood Clumping Cat Litter for Long Hair Breeds.

This litter is designed especially for long haired breeds to often get litter stuck in their fur. This litter features pellets that will not get tracked through the house and most long haired cats prefer it since it doesn’t stick to their fur. It provides 7-day odor control, absorbs 500% its weight, is naturally lightweight and also biodegradable.  dscf4811

Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear seemed to not really like this litter, I should mention she is an elderly cat who is getting really picky in her old age so I switch between their Natural Wood Clumping Litter and their Soft Step Wood Clumping Litter(depending on which my store has in stock) which are softer ground pellets and  fine wood granule, the only down fall is she tracks it through the house but she seems to really like the softer pellets.

I am so impressed with their litter I stock up on two or three boxes at a time because my store is often sold out. I even got my mother hooked on their litter and she has 5 cats! She loves the odor control it offers and that it’s very absorbant! She is even saving money after switching to their litter because it’s more absorbent and she isn’t buying it as often.

You can purchase their litters on their website for $8.99 for a 7lb box, $13.99 for a 11.2lb box and $19.99 for a 16.7lb box.
